I received one of the sweetest emails yesterday from the mother of one of my brides...I simply must share it! I also happend to finish the album layouts from this very same wedding today and thought I would share some of my favorites with you! Working with these kind of wonderful people is what makes my work so fulfilling!
"Ashlee, as the mother of the bride, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my daughter’s wedding so special! Your sister, Brooke Strait of “Know” BS Makeup applied the makeup for the bride, my other two daughters, and myself and we have never looked so good. Then you were willing to come to the wedding brunch, the ceremony, and stay until the end of the reception and capture the entire event! You took family pictures at the brunch and was able to capture my three-year-old grandson, who never stands still, in the cutest smile I have ever seen! Then I have had trouble choosing which pictures to have printed of the wedding as they are all so beautiful! The pictures of the bride and groom and the bridesmaids taken outside in the snow are stunning! So far I have ordered countless prints and four 16 X 20 framed canvas pictures to hang in my home. The large canvas prints are crystal clear and I know I will enjoy them for years to come and pass them onto my children. Your talent and your ability to put others at ease is amazing. Thank you again for the stunning memories of my daughter’s special day! Love, Janice Neilan"

Utah County Wedding Photography- Bella Vista Lindon
Stephanie and Justin were simply smitten with eachother! Stephanie looked gorgeous (doesn't the hair remind you of "Tangled"?) and Justin couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Her make-up was done by Brooke of Know BS Make-up and I think having your make-up done right makes a huge difference in your photos! I absolutely adored the snowy outdoor photos...totally worth the frostbite!! Bella Vista is a beautiful venue...I love the outdoor shots with the warm indoors just inside! Their simply ceremony was beautiful and the cupcakes...seriously the BEST I have had (and I eat a LOT of cupcakes!). Anyways, it was such a pleasure to be a part of their Big Day and I hope you love these photos!

Utah Wedding Photographer- Things to Consider!!
As wedding planning begins for the coming year I thought I would share some things to consider when you are planning...especially if having fantastic photos is important to you! These are simply suggestions, not requirements, but after years of photographing brides I have found these things helpful in creating beautiful images.
#1 - Plan to take your photos during the warm dusk hours. The harsh sunlight in the late morning and early afternoon isn't the most pleasing. This isn't always possible, but you will love your photos if you can arrange it. If it won't work on the wedding day, consider having a bridal/groomal session during these hours on a seperate day!
#2- Have your make-up and hair done professionally. It doesn't have to be heavy and uncomfortable make-up, but having it done right will really make a difference in your photos!
#3- Choose a location that suits your personality...if the location doesn't have much color, make sure you do (accessories are a great way to add color and personality!).
#4- Lastly, don't be afraid to just be yourself!! Some people like the "serious" look, others like to smile...just be comfortable and have fun! The best photos are the ones where you look like...YOU!!
